Lech-Zug’s extensive cross-country area

Cross-country skiing is one of the best and most varied ways of enjoying a holiday in the Arlberg mountains. Enjoy gliding silently through forests deep in snow, and along idyllic valleys and sun-drenched alpine trails. Relax and savour the wonders of the natural landscape, or, if you have a competitive streak, why not challenge yourself to a new personal athletic record. The choice is yours!

Cross-country circuits for every taste

The beautiful village of Lech am Arlberg, from the end of November to the middle of April a long-term magnet for downhill skiers from all over the world, is becoming increasingly popular with cross-country skiers. Depending on ability and preference, visitors can choose from a number of different routes. The new 2 kilometre Spullerswaldweg and the 2.8 kilometre route from Lech to Zug are just two examples. The high altitude “Gaisbühel” circuit (6 kilometres), whilst technically very challenging and requiring a good condition, enjoys a superb location on a frequently sun-drenched plateau and offers spectacular views of the mountains.
