The long-distance hiking trail along the Lech River

    ‘From source to waterfall’

Enjoy moderate long-distance hiking through an Alpine region that is also one of Europe's last wild river landscapes: since 2012, the Lechweg has been opening up an Alpine backdrop for leisurely long-distance hiking for the first time. At the same time, it is the first cross-border long-distance hiking trail to be certified according to the joint quality criteria of the European Ramblers' Association (ERA). The Lechweg trail covers around 125 kilometres, leading from Lake Formarin near Lech am Arlberg via Warth into the Lechtal and Reutte nature park regions to the Lechfall waterfall in Füssen in the Allgäu. It thus connects five holiday regions and two countries with their respective traditions and histories.

Depending on your fitness level and experience, the trail can be completed in six to eight stages. Rafting and canyoning companies also offer the option of covering individual sections directly on the Lech. The towns along the Lechweg trail are accessible by public transport or shuttle service. Luggage can be conveniently transported from stage destination to stage destination.

Our guesthouse is an ideal starting point for this unique nature experience. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the Lechweg trail.
